How to take care of your handmade soap bars
In order to extend the life of the soap, please allow it to dry in between uses, ideally on a well-drained soap dish.
Do not allow your soap to sit in water as it will get soggy and no one likes soggy soap!
Store any unused soaps in a cool, dry place (avoid areas with humidity and heat).
We have wooden soap dishes made with Canadian wood (and made in Montreal!) that allow the soap to drain well between uses - please see the "Accessories" collection.
Using your soap: Simply run the soap bar under water and rub it between your hands to create a rich lather. This is key in getting the beautiful lather going!
When using often in a day: Ideally, your soap gets to dry in between uses. Therefore, if your soap bar will be used frequently in a day (either as a hand soap or used by more than one person), you can always cut your bar in half or into even smaller pieces and use them in rotation.
Warnings
- For external use only.
- If irritation occurs, discontinue use.
- It is not recommended to use the sea salt bars on the sensitive private areas.
- Pregnancy: Please consult your doctor before using essential oil products during pregnancy. For example, peppermint and rosemary essential oils are not recommended during pregnancy.
- Nut allergies: Since I use a lot of oils and butters in my recipes, I wouldn't recommend the soaps for anyone with serious nut allergies. Please make sure to read the ingredients carefully before purchasing.
